Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 August 2026

GridHabit is made by J&A Stores LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the GridHabit mobile app collects, why, and what control you have. The short version: your habit data lives on your phone, we do not sell anything, and we do not track you.

What we collect

Habit data (stays on your device)

The habits you create, their names, emoji, colours and schedules, and the days you check off are stored locally on your device. We cannot see this data unless you turn on cloud backup.

Cloud backup (optional, off by default)

If you choose to sign in and enable cloud backup, we store a copy of your habits and check-in dates in Google Firebase so you can restore them on a new device. Signing in also stores your email address and an account identifier. This is used only to hold your backup and to let you sign back in. You can delete all of it at any time from Settings, or via the account deletion page.

Purchases

If you subscribe to GridHabit Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google. We never see or receive your payment details. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active; RevenueCat receives a purchase identifier and an anonymous app-install identifier.

Notifications

The optional daily reminder is scheduled locally on your device. It does not send any information anywhere, and it is off unless you switch it on.

What we do not collect

No advertising identifiers, no location, no contacts, no photos, no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. GridHabit shows no ads. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with data brokers, and we do not use your data for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors that may handle data on our behalf: Google Firebase (authentication and backup storage), RevenueCat (subscription status), and Apple's App Store / Google Play (payments and app delivery). Each handles data under its own privacy terms.

How long we keep it

Local habit data stays until you delete the app or clear it in the app. Cloud backup data is retained until you delete your account, after which it is removed from our Firebase project.

Your rights

You can access your data in the app at any time, export nothing to us by simply not enabling backup, and delete everything through Settings → Delete account & data, or by writing to us. If you are in the EEA or UK, you have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under the GDPR; if you are in California, you have rights of access and deletion under the CCPA, and we do not sell personal information. To exercise any of these, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

GridHabit is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, note it in the app.
